Foggy Conditions Lead to Cancelled Flights
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Dec. 21, 2006 - Dense fog conditions have cancelled and/or delayed most flights at The Eastern Iowa Airport for the remainder of the flight schedule for Thursday, Dec. 21. The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory and dense fog is expected through tomorrow morning. Customers should call their airline’s toll-free 800 number to make inquiries regarding their flight. For flights that depart or arrive in the late evening or tonight, schedules may not yet be updated, so customers are asked to call closer to the flight time. When calling the airline 800 number, customers are asked to give the airline a 24-hour contact number to the reservation department. If flights are unable to depart and arrive tonight, early morning Friday flights may be cancelled. Customers could receive late night calls from their airline reservation offices tonight. Information is updated by the airlines as quickly and as accurately as possible. American Airlines: 800-433-7300 |
